Welcome to the September NCC meeting of 2022: Newtongrange Community Council consider the main aims, objectives and correspondence this month.

    1. From June via email (Ross)- Park Railings still to be painted by Community Payback team – paint was collected a year ago. Recent email received from Stuart Pratt suggested painting would happen soon. Village Voices are not holding our breath!

    7. From June via email (Ross) Regarding naming streets for new developments via Democratic Services. It is important that local people who know area & landmarks are represented in decision, nor by someone who does not.

    1. Protecting and improving services:
      1. Update on street cleaning and weeds issues at bus shelters on Main Street from Clr. Bowen
      2. Litter bin requirements for Gardiner place & other key locations in Newtongrange (Clr. Bowen & All)
      3. Liney Dyke & Newtongrange Conservation Area (Update John)
      4. Tennis & petanque latest (Ross and Sandy Howden)
    2. The Newtongrange Masterplan: ensuring community development remains at its heart and engaging business and the village in its progress
      1. Any further discussion from last meeting with Fiona Clandillon, what are next steps for NCC?
