This years Remembrance Parade will take place on Sunday the 8th November 2026.
The parade will assemble at the Masonic Lodge which is located on Galadale Crescent, Newtongrange. We require participants to arrive by 10.30am as we will be leaving the assembly point at 10.45 sharp. From here we will then march to the Welfare Park for a service by Reverend Christopher Watt.
During the service there will be an opportunity to lay a wreath from your organisation. Please note that wreath laying will be in order of the senior services. The order will be as follows: The Lord Lieutenant, The Royal British Legion, Councillors, ATC, children's organisations, Scouts, Guides and Brownies.
Following the service at the Welfare Park there will be a short march to Newtongrange Parish Church for the morning service. After the Church Service we will meet outside the church on Sixth Street and from here will walk to The Dean Tavern.
Thanks to Linda Lawrence, from the Royal British Legion for the information.
