Any situation where we are told that if we can keep UK deaths under 20,000 we will have done well, is clearly not a good one. This is a tough time. Something about the scale of that number means that many families will be touched directly by loss, and if deaths can prevented we should be doing everything we can.

How to get help: Newtongrange COVID-19 local information and FAQs for residents and people with family in the village.
In a moving service, poppy wreaths were placed at the War Memorial, and participants paid homage to all those brave heroes.
The Newtongrange Primary School Travel Plan: successfully increasing the safety and long term health of our children.
What’s apparent is that we have a village culture of “grafting ‘grangers” or “Nitteners who knuckle down” – they came out in force today,
It’s just great to see people getting together and enjoying taking care of the village. The boys know what a weed is now and know they can just pull them out when they are passing!

Thanks to the diligence of our Treasurer John he has compiled a useful map of all the 17 defibrillators in and around Newtongrange. That have been laminated and added across Newtongrange.
This compliments the online listing www.defibfinder.uk/ but remember this map & website are used to locate defibrillators, but is not intended for use in an emergency.
