Establishing year aims for the NCC, opening discussion on options, to allow the NCC to focus its energy and achieve the best for the village.
The March meeting focussed on the roles of new members of the NCC, upcoming Midlothian Council consultations and funding opportunities and launching of the new NCC website.
CAN YOU HELP PARK CENTENARY VOLUNTEERS?
Do you or someone you know have a battery-operated driver or grinder. That you can come down and help to strip paint rust from the Newtongrange Welfare Park railings? Or can lend to the volunteers working on the railings.
The group has now stripped and repainted about 120 metres of railing along Bryan's Road/Park Road.
The action is required as a large external group are willing to come to the village to paint for us. As a result we are endeavouring to strip back as much raling on Park Road ASAP and need as much mechanical tools as possible to do this preparatory work.
