The first packed digital NCC meeting of the year capturing community highlights and on-going issues. NCC membership recruitment for the new year needed with growing relationships with Midlothian Council, Federation of Community Councils and MTRaP. Plus next steps for Community Development Trust, rollout of the Newtongrange Flyer and the last ‘The Pool’ event of the year and other village issues.

The funfair in Welfare park brings a level of excitement for many and should be seen as a positive event for our village. However, annually the NCC receives a raft of complaints about the event...
For the February meeting we were joined by both Councillor Johnstone & Muirhead to discuss Newbattle Practice e-consult, Welfare Park, tubs, crime prevention, buses, newsletter plans and noticeboards the topics.
Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership has launched a survey on how they can support people in the area - deadline 8 May.
