Newtongrange Welfare Park will be 100 years old in September this year. In preparation of the celebrations, Newtongrange Community Council has agreed to coordinate the scrubbing, stripping and repainting of the park railings.
There is around 600m of railings and this is a major task, so we need your help.
Volunteers will be gathering at Newtongrange Welfare Park on Saturday 7th March at 9:30am to begin work.
All are welcome to come and help. Paint and equipment will be supplied, you just need to bring a little elbow grease!
On another note, donations of some paint, equipment and protective clothing have already been received (thank you!) but much more is required.
If you are a local business or resident and are able to make a donation to help us purchase more, please contact the Newtongrange Community Council via email secretary@newtongrange.org ... See MoreSee Less
