The February NCC hybrid meeting @ The Dean Tavern, The Hall & on zoom captured community concerns and on-going issues. Councillor’s reports were offered and discussion regarding Midlothian Council proposed savings & further updates given by our Midlothian South, ward Councillors.
The AGM was an opportunity to reflect on the changes to the Newtongrange Community Council and prepare for an increasing membership as more in the community want to support the village’s development.
The AGM looks at the year’s progress sets the meeting schedule for 2020 and sees the election of members and office bearers. All welcome.

Midlothian Council service cut proposals: “none of the proposed cuts would be necessary if Midlothian Council was funded appropriately and fairly. We do not accept them. We do not want to pit group against group trying to fight for whose cause is more important, they are all important. We must stand together in solidarity.”
