The agenda for online meeting of NCC dominated once again by Newtongrange Resilience and community ideas the NCC can support for the village post pandemic.
Online meeting focussed mainly on the achievements of the Newtongrange Resilience operation, improved maintenance of Welfare Park and future engagement with Midlothian Council
The agenda for online meeting of NCC continuing the theme of support for the village through the COVID-19 crisis: Newtongrange Resilience Volunteers update, Letter of support from the Lord-Lieutenant for Midlothian and activities keeping the community together post this pandemic and more.

Calling all scrubbers and strippers!
(We hope that got your attention!)
Newtongrange Welfare Park will be 100 years old in September this year. In preparation of the celebrations, Newtongrange Community Council has agreed to coordinate the scrubbing, stripping and repainting of the park railings.
There is around 600m of railings and this is a major task, so we need your help.
Volunteers will be gathering at Newtongrange Welfare Park on Saturday 7th March at 9:30am to begin work.
All are welcome to come and help. Paint and equipment will be supplied, you just need to bring a little elbow grease!
On another note, donations of some paint, equipment and protective clothing have already been received (thank you!) but much more is required.
If you are a local business or resident and are able to make a donation to help us purchase more, please contact the Newtongrange Community Council via email secretary@newtongrange.org
