Want to know more? The Mining Museum representatives will be in the park on Saturday. They willl also be on the look out for your own village memories.
“Working in collaboration with Newtongrange Community Council, they’re launching the brand new Newtongrange Heritage Trail and they need you, yes you, the people of Newtongrange, to help bring it to life! Whether Newtongrange has been home all your life, you’ve just moved here, you’ve worked here or you have family connections to the village, they want to hear from you.
What’s a place in Newtongrange that means something to you? What do you remember about it? Maybe it was a shop you visited, somewhere you worked, a club you went to, a place you played as a child, or simply somewhere that brings back a particular memory. They want to hear about the places that matter to you and the stories that go with them.”
